Love. Always.

I haven't blogged in way too long.  I have so much to write and so many stories to tell but I simply do not have the time.  However, I just had to get a few things out before I fall asleep, as work will come early tomorrow.  But this is important.  It's Valentine's Day (kind of...just after midnight so I'm counting it as still being The Day.)  I often think that I don't tell my husband I love him often enough.  I tell him a lot, but I guess just saying it doesn't seem like enough.  So here's my over-the-top, so newlywed-like-it's-cliche post about how much I adore this man that is mine.  It's our first Valentine's Day married and I had to work, so we celebrated over the weekend.  But being the amazing man that he is, he popped in to see me for all of 30 seconds to give me heart-shaped candy and a kiss.  I would have melted if I hadn't been a tad bit busy.  It's little things like that that make me love him so much.  I smile whenever I'm talking or thinking about him.  He's so perfect for me that I just can't describe it.  And since I'm being so mushy already, I'm going to list out a few of my reasons for loving him oh-so-much.

        1.  He makes me smile, no matter what.
        2.  He tolerates every crazy idea that I have like it's as much fun for him as it is for me, even though we both know it really isn't. And he does it without complaint.
        3.  He will sing and dance in the car with me.
        4.  He loves the little princesses as much as I do.  And indulges them just as much as me too. 
        5.  When he looks at me I can see how much he loves me, and every time I see that look, I melt.
        6.  There is no place I would rather be than curled up with him and he always has a shoulder available for me to use as a pillow.
        7.  When I'm having a horrible day just the sound of his voice reminds me that life is good.
        8.  He calls me beautiful when I look like a disaster.
        9.  He still takes me on dates.
       10.  He's my very best friend.

And there it is, a very small portion of my lengthy list of reasons why I love my husband.  He's my soulmate, other half, best friend and true love.  I'm so blessed to have him.  He makes every day a little sweeter and knowing that I get to spend the rest of my life with him makes my heart skip a beat.  I used to read about love and princes and princesses, now I get to live a life full of love with my Prince Charming.  Except our version has us riding into the sunset on his motorcycle as opposed to a white horse.  But hey, it's our fairytale and we're going to do it our way:  a little crazy, a little offbeat, and a whole lot of fun!  So happy Valentine's Day my love, I hope that reading this puts a smile on your face and helps you see how much I truly adore you and our life together.
